Funeral Details
Peacefully on December 20, 20256, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, our brother, uncle and friend, Samuel George Beardy passed away at the age of 67 years.
Samuel came to live with us (Charlie and Joan) on February 2, 2002.
We will forever cherish the wonderful years we shared with him. Sam was a very gentile person, most everyone in our community can say the same about him. Sam loved music (Elvis Presley), animals and children. He spoke often of his son Sammy Meyer, and his partner Patrica Meyer. We lived in the country, and he loved our new puppy Roxie and kitten Alex, which are the names he chose for them.
Samuel also loved spending time at our Ashern Support Centre where he met his special friend Lucy Walker. We occasionally took him to spend time with her and his mother in Winnipeg. We had four of our great grandchildren live with us for a year. Samuel’s love of children was very evident. He collected many small toys for them to play with.
Samuel was very talented when given an opportunity. He painted and sketched small pictures at the paint class he attended. Please take note of the picture on display of “mother monkey and her baby,” which Samuel drew/painted.
Samuel loved camping and fishing at Paint Lake, Grand Rapids, and Lac Du Bonnet and at our family cabin and many family events. He was always included. He had a mind of child and the heart of a Lion. He was loved by all who knew him.
Sam leaves to mourn, his son Sammy (Patrica) Meyer; his siblings, Marlene Roulette, Glen Beardy, Robert Beardy, Cory Beardy, Debbie Beardy; numerous nieces and nephews; Joan and Charlie Hansen who were his care givers and home providers; as well as his other friends and relatives.
Samuel was predeceased by his parents, Bella and Maurice; grandparents Samuel Beardy and Marie Desjarlais; nieces, Joyce Lynn Beardy and Charlene Beardy; and his siblings Angeline Beardy, Moses Beardy, and 2 brothers in infancy.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd:
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
