Funeral Details
Surrounded by her family and friends, we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, kookum, sister, auntie, cousin and friend. Rose passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 6:57 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s Hospital in The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 49 years old.
Rose loved reading her Bible, attending church and travelling for the Lord with brothers and sisters in the Lord. She travelled to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec, mostly in Manitoba. Rose would always encourage people to serve the Lord.
Rose enjoyed the outdoors with her family. She loved planning gatherings such as swimming and barbeques at Long Point and Granny’s Beach (we call it) and High Porridge (what Rosie and Tristin called it). Also Clearwater Lake in The Pas, that’s how much she loved being with family.
She loved singing gospel songs at home with her speaker and mic, with a sock covering the mic condenser. She would sing her heart out for the Lord, praising and worshipping, singing “I will bless thee oh Lord”, even with the disability she had since 2001, she lived life to the fullest.
Rose deeply loved her family and friends and everyone that she met.
Rose was united in marriage to Franklin Turner on June 15, 2002. Together they raised their children, Tristin and Rosie. Along came their grandsons, Trent, Atticus and Adriel. Rose and Franklin also raised Valentina, Braeden and Sebastian.
Rose is survived by her husband Franklin; son Tristin; daughter Rosie; grandsons, Trent, Atticus and Adriel; her sisters, Florence and Valentina; her brothers, Sterling (Esther) Cook and George (Sausage) Chartier; her aunties, Wanda Cook, Lisa Cook and Sylvia Hengemuehl; her uncles, Henry Cook, Gilbert Cook, Ovide Cook, Leroy Cook, Deano Cook, Pearly Cook and Phillip Chartier.
