Funeral Details
It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our husband, dad, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, godfather, and friend, Rodney Captain.
Rodney was born Wednesday, February 11, 1970 in Ashern, Manitoba, in his earlier years he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Rodney worked as a labourer with CCRP, now CLCP, he also worked as a janitor along side his wife at Chemawawin School. He was also a Snow Lake hired hand fisherman. He also loved fishing with his little brother Orville. Rodney was the life of the party to all that knew him, especially with his cousins, nephews, nieces and Glenda (Sarge), Stanley and Raymond. He loved laughing and joking around with whoever he was with. He also pushed his wife around the community in her wheelchair.
Rodney was united in marriage to his wife Pauline Daniels in Easterville on August 21, 2004 and together they were blessed with their only daughter Jennifer and adopted daughter Rachel, whom he called his daughter.
Rodney passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 in Easterville, Manitoba at the age of 55 years.
I’m Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following paths God made for me
I took his hand I heard him call
Then turned, and bid farewell to all
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to sing, to play
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found my peace... at close of play
And if my parting left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened... deep with sorrow
I wish you sunshine of tomorrow
My life's been full I've savoured much
Good friends, good times
A loved one's touch
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with grief
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wants me now... He set me free.
