“Shining White Eagle”
May 30, 1990 - November 15, 2025
It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert David Hudson aka Devin - Shining White Eagle announces his sudden passing on November 15, 2025, at the age of 35.
Robert was born on May 30, 1990, at Women's Hospital, the beloved son of Cheryl Hudson and Phillip Stevenson.
Robert spent his early childhood in Peguis and Winnipeg, Manitoba. At the age of five, he moved to Faro, Yukon, where he lived with his grandparents, Ralph, and Marion Stevenson, who played a vital role in his upbringing. He returned to Manitoba at age eight and later made Winnipeg his home for most of his adult life.
A hardworking and versatile man, Robert held many jobs over the years. He worked in construction and specially enjoyed working as an interior painter, and in his younger days he enjoyed helping his Uncle Martin with wood cutting, bike riding with Zack, and the boys— a time he often remembered fondly living with his Aunt Denise & Uncle Martin. No matter the task, Robert put his heart into his work and took pride in doing things well.
Robert leaves behind his beloved children — daughter Raven (5), son Devyn (1), and stepdaughters Jersey and Quinn — as well as his loving girlfriend Celina who he called his wife. He will also be dearly missed by his mother, Cheryl Hudson (Jeff) and little sister Jaide Thomas, grandpa William (Bill) Hudson, Father Phillip Stevenson (wife), and and by all his aunties, uncles and cousins; Karen (Nichole, Dominique, Daniella), Laura (Garnet, Karl, Natasha, Rebekah, Eugene), William (Bill) and Sherri (Aaron, Larissa, Jacquelyn, William III), Warren, Lisa and Cyril (Cory, Joshua, Theoren, Jasmine, Madea) Craig (Jaxon, Bella), Denise and Martin (Zack), Mitchell, Edward and Melissa; along with many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Robert has gone to be with his grandmother Marian (Sue) Hudson, cousin Colin Sanderson, grandparents Ralph & Marion, Uncle Ralph Jr., and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will welcome him home with love.
Robert will be remembered for his big kind loving heart, easy laughter, and the deep love he held for his family. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
“Gone to be with those he loved — forever in our hearts.”

You Meant So Much
By: Cassie Mitchell
You meant so much to all of us, You were special and that's no lie
You brightened up the darkest day, And the cloudiest sky
Your smile alone warmed hearts, Your laugh was like music to hear
I would give absolutely anything, To have you well and standing near
Not a second passes, When you're not on our minds
Your love we will never forget, The hurt will ease in time
Many tears I have seen and cried, They have all poured out like rain
I know that you are happy now, And no longer in any pain.
