With heavy hearts we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Mother in-law, Godmother, Sister in-law, Cousin, and Friend, Nora Elizabeth June Lavallee.
Nora passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Personal Care Home in Dauphin, Manitoba at the age of 75 years old with her children by her side. Nora was born Saturday May 13th, 1950 in Norway House, Manitoba. Nora attended school in Norway House throughout her childhood and then continued with her high school education at MBCI in The Pas Manitoba. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Lavallee Sr. on October 19th, 1970 in which they shared 46 incredible years of love and joy together.
Nora enjoyed caring for her husband and took pride in maintaining her home for her husband and herself. She made sure her many family members, friends and visitors always felt welcomed. Nora was a wonderful baker and loved to cook for her guests including all of her children, grandchildren and friends. They shared many years of humorous stories and laughter with every visit.
Nora had a unique bond with each and every one of her grandchildren. Nora took great pleasure in visits from them and was always enthusiastic about sharing the experience with people after they left.
Throughout the years Nora had numerous friends that she was close to. She spent time with her friends travelling for church, family gatherings, shopping, and sitting around to chat and catch up with them.
Nora leaves to mourn her sons; Lloyd Lavallee Jr, Clarence (Kelly) Lavallee, Terrance (Lana) Lavallee, Ian (Tanya) Lavallee, Andrew Lavallee. Her daughter; Bernadette Lavallee. Her daughter-in-law; Joyce Lathlin. Her grandchildren; Whitney Lavallee, Wendall Lavallee, Zanaya Lavallee, Santana Lavallee, Frankie Rose Turner, Chantel Lavallee, Clarence Menow, Shayne Lavallee, Chanelle Lavallee, Kurt Kematch, Katina Lavallee, Terran Lavallee, Raelyn Lavallee, Kendra Lavallee, Lawrence Ferland, Curtis Ferland, Donald Ferland Jr., Daylen Lavallee, Shyna Lavallee, Tiana Lavallee, Leniah Lavallee, Landon Lavallee, Enya Lavallee. Her godchildren; Rose Turner, Mitchell Kematch, Coreena Young. Her brothers; Thomas (Pauline) Munroe, Clarence (Linda) Munroe, Kenneth (Lorraine) Munroe, Andrew Sr. (Bertha) Munroe. Her sisters; Janet Munroe, Katie (Alec) Garrioch, Marlene Mink, Verna (Riley) Anderson. Her brother and sister-in-laws; Judy Munroe, Tom Young, Janet (Barry) Chartrand, Cecilia Mink, Sarah (Andrew) Colomb, Joey Lavallee, Rose Lavallee, Wayne (Donna) Lavallee, Mark Lavallee, Patricia Lavallee, Stella (Troy) George, David (Cindy) Lavallee, Michael Lavallee.
Nora was predeceased by her husband; Lloyd Lavallee Sr. Her son; Lawrence Lavallee. Her grandson; Dwayne Lavallee. Her great grandson; Paul Genaille. Her parents; Thomas and Louisa Munroe. Her father and mother-in-law; William and Esther Lavallee. Her brothers; Henry Munroe, Keith Munroe, Gilbert Munroe. Her sisters: Donna Munroe, Yvonne York. Her brother and sister-in-laws; George Captain, Ernie Mink, Mildred Munroe, Alfred Mink Sr., Stanley Lavallee, Glenn Lavallee, Robert Lavallee, Adeline Lavallee, Mildred Young, Dorothy Lavallee, Eileen Lavallee, Matilda Lavallee. If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 11:00 am Ininewak Mamawi Centre, Chemawawin Cree Nation, with
Rose Turner and Franklin Turner officiating.
Interment will follow at the St. Albans Cemetery, Easterville, Manitoba.
