It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nedra Lynn Sinclair ("Nan"), who passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the age of 64 at Percy E. Moore Hospital, with her family by her side.
Nedra leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 27 years, Gerald "Jake" Sinclair; her children, Jamie (Darryl), Isaac (Mel), Sarah, April, and Nelda (Marcel); her cherished grandchildren, Tia, Hayden, Delilah, Dimitra, and Axel George; her beloved grandcat, Pretty Gals; her special niece, Macey ("Moosie"); her stepson, Stan; her siblings, Marlene, Jeannie, Simon (Wanda), Clinton, Anne (Lorne), and Billy; her sisters-in-law, Linda (Conrad) and Marilyn; her brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Linda), Larry (Kim), Darryl (Iris), and Lloyd (Janice); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Nedra was predeceased by her parents, William and Sarah Murdock; her brothers, Russell, Jack, and Stewart (in infancy); her parents-in-law, Ronald and Maude Sinclair; her brothers-in-law, Garry (in infancy), Barry, Dennis, Nathan, and Carl ("Poggy"); her beloved grandpup, Nemo; and, as she affectionately referred to him, "the Ex," Marlowe Cochrane.
While working at Colonel Willy's, Mom met Jake, and they quickly fell in love. Jake was the love of her life, just as she was the love of his. They later married, and together they made their home in Peguis, where they enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.
Nedra had a special love for children. Even as a young girl, she was always caring for someone else's children, and from an early age she knew she wanted a large family. Her nurturing heart and caring nature remained a defining part of who she was throughout her life.
Nedra especially loved spending time outdoors, feeding her birds and hummingbirds, and finding joy and peace in watching them return each day. She took great pride in the beauty of her yard and was always sure to keep Jake on top of its maintenance. Back in the day, mom enjoyed watching WWE; The Undertaker was her favorite wrestler. She also enjoyed cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays & The Winnipeg Jets with Jake and her pal; Chucksie. She also looked forward to spending evenings playing bingo.
Nedra will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the unconditional love she shared with her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and found happiness in life's simple blessings. Her generosity, laughter, and loving nature will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff at Percy E. Moore Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided during Nedra's final days. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Christine, for the loving care she gave Mom after she became ill. She never left her side and was there for every appointment, offering comfort, strength, and unwavering support. We are deeply grateful for her kindness, compassion, and devotion.
Though she is no longer with us in person, Nedra's love, kindness, and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
