It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Graham Smith of Fisher River Cree Nation on August 13, 2026 at the age of 85 years.
Graham leaves to mourn, his wife Ada; daughter Koreen (Jason); sons, Neil, Tony and Curtis; stepchildren Debbie and Robby; 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Graham was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Mildred Smith; sisters, Betty, Velma, Dolly, Ruth and Beverly; brothers, Errol, George, Jim, Edwin and Leslie.
Graham was a brick layer by trade and loved building things. He loved listening to fiddle music, picking, making traditional medicine and sharing his knowledge. He loved to tease and make people laugh.
He will be forever in our hearts.
Memorial Service: Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fisher River United Church, Fisher River, Manitoba
Interment: Fisher River Community Cemetery, Fisher River, Manitoba
