It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend, Doreen Karen Traverse of Little Saskatchewan First Nation on August 15, 2026 at the age of 51 years
Doreen leaves to mourn her husband Leonard Anderson; mother, Lorna Traverse; her sons Anthony (Megan) and Levi; daughters, Leona (Cliff) and Kayla (Zachary); nieces whom she called her daughters Jenna (Randy) and Maina (Josh); her grandchildren Jayda, Harlen, Elijah, Payton, Helena, Nova, Brian, Cassia, Cory, Evangeline, Winter, Camilla, Kaizen, Iverson, Serena, Clifton, Layla, Phoebe.
Doreen also leaves to mourn her brothers Sonny, Robert and Leslie; sisters, Barbara (Jeremy), Heather (Ronald) and Tanya; her step-daughter, Domenique Anderson (Terrance) and her children, Adelaide, Cyril and Ava; her in-laws, Irene Anderson; David Anderson (Janine), Russell Anderson (Chrissy), Kim Letandre, Priscilla Anderson and Rebecca Ross; as well as numerous relatives which include cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Pinky was predeceased by her son Timothy Traverse; grandson Kal El Traverse; her parents Ivor and Helen Traverse; Grandparents Louisa McLean and Alexander Traverse; aunts Bertha Travers, Olive Stove, Doreen Traverse, Vivian Traverse, Darlene McLean and Sonia Pratt; uncles Lawrence Traverse and Sidney Traverse, cousins Daniel McLean, Joey Sinclair, Sterling Warren, Sidney McLean, Savannah Cruly; Father in-law, Russell Marsden; mother in-law, Adelaide Linda Anderson; her brothers and sisters in-law, Walter Anderson, Jyle Letandre, Carrie Letandre and Emily Letandre; along with numerous other relatives.
Pinky left a legacy of warmth, hospitality, and unconditional love. She was deeply devoted to her family, holding a cherished bond with Payton and Evangeline. Known for her welcoming spirit, she loved hosting holiday dinners, made sure everyone had full tummy's.
Pinky was a constant pillar of support, always the first to offer assistance to anyone in need. She maintained an exceptionally close relationship with her older sister, Babs, they spoke almost everyday and had regular visits. Her joyful nature, love for baseball, and bright smile will be dearly missed by the many people who loved her.
Pinky's bright energy and outgoing nature made her a true joy to be around. She lived for her family—adoring her grandkids and constantly checking on her children to ensure they had everything they needed. Pinky held her late son, Timothy, and her father close to her heart every day, always sharing fond memories of them. She will be dearly missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with the loved ones she missed so much

When I Lost You
I wish I could see you one more time
