It is with great sorrow and sadness that we the family of Clarence Morse announce his sudden but peaceful passing on March 20, 2026 with family by his side. Our loving husband, father and grandfather, left his beloved home on #8 to enter into his eternal rest.
Clarence will be lovingly missed by his wife, Lillian, who was with him for 48 years; his sons Levi (Verna) Morse, Mitchell (Christen) Morse and Lindsey Campbell; also left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Robert (Jean) Morse, Ronald and Dennis Legault; sisters, Pearl Cardwell and Valerie Redlick and their children; brothers in-law, Vernon, Lawson and Randy (Katie) Sinclair, Lenny Kowaski; sisters in-law, Phyllis Stevenson, Frances (Joey) Hart and Sherry Morse; son in-law, Oliver Okemow.
Clarence had 7 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and 13 grand-children that he shared with Lillian. Grandpa always treated the grandchildren equally, but of course had a few specials; of the boys were, Aiden, Liam, the twins Layne and Leryn, and the girls, Tricia, Sierra, Rennah, Starla and twins Tyla and Kyla. He also had great pride in having a police officer grandson, Lindsey Jr.
He loved all his children deeply, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren, but had a special bond with Clarence, Aiden and Tricia, whom he was raising after the passing of his daughter, Roxanne Okemow. Also his youngest sons children, who often went to spend time at ‘the farm,’ Liam, the youngest being the ‘main boss.’
Clarence did many kinds of work throughout his lifetime. His first job at 15, working as a stock person in a clothing store on Main Street. For a time in the nickel mine in Thompson. Later getting into construction work, also as a painter and interior decorator. Eventually travelling to different provinces across Canada as a foreman with several companies working hydro tower projects and lineman, sometimes taking his sons to work with him. In the last 19 years, he had been the truck driver he always wanted to be, travelling mainly between Ontario and Alberta, and/or driving semi-truck on winter and ice roads. Last winter, he spent time driving in the Northwest Territories. This is where he was most happy driving semi-trucks.
Clarence loved to take his family on trips all over the states and to Alberta, BC and Ontario. He took several grandchildren at a time to Disneyland (3 times) and to Mexico (4 Times).
He also travelled long with Lillian to the Holy Land, with a group of brothers and sisters in the Lord, the McLean group 2 times. How he loved that place!
Clarence was predeceased by his two daughters, Roxanne Okemow and Priscilla Houle; two step-daughters, Joanne Klocko and Sherry Ross; brothers, James and Alex Morse; sister, Addie Kowaski; parents, Alice and Daniel Morse; grandparents, Emma and Robert Traverse; special uncles, George and Dave Traverse; special aunt, Lorraine Thuringer; as well as many others, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, too many to name.
Dad made many friends all across Canada, throughout his adult years and grew bonds with many. He met many brothers and sisters in the Lord, who had become dear to him through his Christian walk.
